Join TVHRA for a special event featuring the author of Leading with Grit & Grace, Ashleigh Walters.  Her book is a compelling exploration of modern leadership in today’s evolving workplace that challenges the outdated “command and control” leadership style still common in many blue‑collar and manufacturing environments—and offers a more human, effective path forward.

Participants are encouraged (but not required) to read the book ahead of time and join the discussion (link above). This is a unique opportunity to engage directly with the author, share your perspectives, ask questions, and reflect on how grit, empathy, and accountability can coexist in strong leadership.

In an economy where traditional approaches no longer deliver results, Leading with Grit & Grace invites leaders and HR professionals alike to become the change their organizations need.

    Ashleigh Walters

Ashleigh Walters is a leader, engineer, and problem-solver who has spent her career helping organizations navigate change and build stronger cultures.

After relocating her family to Erie, Pennsylvania, Ashleigh played a key role in revitalizing a half-century-old, family-owned manufacturing business in the Rust Belt. With a background in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, she brought a coach-style approach to leadership — modernizing systems, strengthening collaboration, and fostering continuous improvement in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Today, Ashleigh continues to work in boardrooms as a speaker, executive coach, and board member, helping leaders think more clearly about people, culture, and long-term performance.

Alongside her professional work, Ashleigh is also the mom of two high school football players navigating the increasingly complex world of college recruiting. Seeing the parallels between business and athletics — evaluation, fit, culture, and communication — has expanded her perspective on leadership development. She is especially passionate about the untapped opportunity to better support coaches, the leaders who shape young athletes both on and off the field.

Whether in the boardroom or the bleachers, Ashleigh believes leadership is about making things better — for people, for teams, and for what comes next.
