Build the DEI&A Culture to Ensure Retention is the Outcome of Recruiting- “Build it and they will Come” 
 
Overview
Recruiting and retention are often spoken of together in some perfunctory manner. For the last several years, recruitment and retention have increasingly been automatically appended together. In the Human Resources world, it is an assured platform for job security. Positions, titles and entire departments are designed to be responsible for recruitment and retention.
 
Why not recruit and ensure retention is the outcome as a result of the efforts? Building a culture where employees choose to stay is a far better investment of resources, including people, time and money. The old axiom, “If you build it, they will come,” is as true today as it was forty years ago. If you put effort and belief in the success of a project or task, it is more likely to succeed.
 
This session will explore the advantages of getting it right by building a culture that attracts the best and brightest for your industry. Research companies such as Catalyst, McKinsey and Deloitte all provide data that supports the theory that companies with a culture that embraces DEI&A are more likely predicted to be the highest performing companies. This is likely because when they are focused on valuing inclusive talent, retention will be the outcome of their efforts.

Hill Group Inc. was officially established with Jim and Kelly Hill a few years ago right here in Knoxville, TN with a vision to assist Business Owners and HR Managers with the ability to have One point of contact for Benefits, Software, Solutions, etc.  After many years working in the benefits field, especially supplemental insurance (AFLAC), it was evident that HR managers and Business owners need a way to streamline their process between what is offered.  For example, companies sometimes have a Payroll Company, and Onboarding (employee) company, Major Medical Broker, Supplemental Company, 401k Company, and/or a mixture of them at any given time.  This means, several different Points of Contact, agents, enrollment times during the year and they leave one to start another.

Working with several partnerships at Hill Group Inc., we can be that point of contact for many of these services and be the one phone call or email to address any situation.  Currently we service approximately 70-80 businesses in the southeast.  We the majority of our work being in the State of Tennessee, we also work in Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Ohio.
